Hey Yall!

Happy Halloween!!! Were going to be volunteering with the Nashville Chamber of Commerce tonight to pass out candy in town square! That should be tons of fun and I can't wait! We had a great experience yesterday regarding fasting. I wanted to fast for our people with a baptismal date on Saturday. I forgot until we got home so then we started our fast. We were praying that they would get an answer and the husband would be able to fight off smoking. We saw them last night after fasting all day, and the husband told us that the swelling motions and growth talked about in Alma 32, were happening! He has been having so many things happen to him lately. I have a renewed testimony of fasting. It was so great to see them progressing and seeing the blessings of the gospel in their lives. The answers are all around us. So many blessings come into our lives when we live the word of wisdom, the law of chastity,  have our daily scripture study, by living the law of tithing, or the law of the fast. Prayer is a powerful tool to communicate with our Father in Heaven. He will answer us, even if we don't recognize Him doing it, He is. Sometimes if we ask for something, the answer is "no". It's not that He didn't answer, it's that He knew what we needed more than we do. I love my Father in Heaven. He is a merciful God, who I know answers my prayers. He gives me the opportunity to grow and learn to rely on Him. He has given me the opportunity to become a disciple of Christ. We had a great week! We saw where someone had skinned a dear and thrown the skin into the canal; tons of birds were there eating it! I even am sending a picture. Elder Anderson wiped out on his bike. Great Fall Festival. Thanks for all the support! Have a great week yall!!

Hi Yall!

It's been another ecstatic week here in Nashville, GA! Elder Anderson is a pro! He is a fun loving guy. Reminds me of someone back home a little. Our investigators gave up tea! These people are great and I love them to death! We had a great Sunday yesterday. The spirit was so strong, I loved it! I wanted to be able to speak as powerfully as one of our speakers, Bro Miles, and asked myself: How do I do that? Then it hit me, humility, it's so important. In Preach My Gospel, it says something like; be sure that your confidence and trust is in the Lord and not yourself. As I studied humility more I looked in True to the Faith and it said that humility is recognizing our complete dependence on God. Each of our talents, abilities and gifts that we have been given come from Him. It's true! It all comes from Him. Alma 12:26 Ammon said it just right. We can't do anything in missionary work without the Lord and even then He does everything! I had a great week and love what I have learned. I love Preach My Gospel. I love the Trimms. I love President Jensen, and I love all of you! Have a great week!

Hey Yall!

Its been a good week! I got my new boy, Elder Anderson from Las Vegas Nevada! He is a trooper. We have been riding bikes hard and his legs are dead, but he does really well at pushing though. I am digging the contacts and my vision is even improving! The new missionaries have some really awesome training in the MTC now. It's way good, these new missionaries are pro's when they come out. And the new programs really work! The Lord's work is moving forward at extreme rates! And especially the quality! I keep having to cut these really short, but I assure you all everything is great and well! I love yall!

It was a great week yall!! We had a beatiful baptism! It was so sweet! The Spirit was really strong. Yesterday we got poured on! We went to Huddle House and got soaked on the way. A tornado actualy touched down behind our apartment and we never noticed it. But we were told later what happened. It's official, Elder Elzey will be leaving. He's going to Daphne and supposedly his new companion will straighten him out. I hope so. I will be training again, I hope this new missionary is a hard worker and ready to work. There is a 26 year old fella coming out who has recently straightened out his life and decided to come out that's so great! I might possibly get matched up with him. I took a great nap yesterday. I slept for about an hour. Really enjoyable. I also had the opportunity to go on exchanges this last week with a new misionary and he was a good kid. He learned great things from his trainer. He is obedient, kind and loving. I love this kid. We had some fun and worked hard. I also got contacts yesterday! I am trying them out to see how they work. It's pretty sweet so far but I have tan lines from where my glasses were haha. Pretty embarrassing. We went out to dinner with the Trimms last night more ribs and all sorts of good stuff! Black eyed peas! Rice! Mmmm!!! We are going to be having Thanksgiving with them too! I am in 2 Nephi 28 now. I read through 28 this morning, and it's talking about the apostasy, there is so much information in there. I love the Book of Mormon!!!! I can't recall everything that happened this week, but it was good. I hope all yall had a good week too! Keep having a good one! Love yall!

Hi yall,
I was hoping I would have more time to write a big letter today but I only have 6 minutes and counting. It has been a real good week here are a few quick highlights
1: I found out a recent convert in Perdido and her husband are having another baby, he received the Melchezidek Priesthood and received an advancement at work!!! Blessings come as we do the will our Heavenly Father!
2: In one of our lessons we were teaching this fella in a wheel chair about halfway through he says excuse me and turns around and pees in a bottle...hahah gross, the next day he did it again!!!
3: Attended a funeral and cried like a baby. The words were sweet, the love was felt,  and the truth of eternal families made known.
4: I popped another tire tube that makes three in the last few weeks!
Really enjoyed everything in conference and I am looking forward to the baptisms this coming Sunday. All should be going well. I love yall! All you Aaronic Priesthood boys get ready for a mission! Hope yall heard what Elder Holland said! The mission is the best! Love yall have a great week!
