Hey yall!!
Sorry to be short this week, lots of work to do for getting ready for school.
This week was awesome!!!
Preacher at conference?
-Yuppers!! We brought a Baptist Pastor to church Sat. night for the adult session of stake conference. He said he enjoyed it. He isn't exactly looking to convert but it was really cool to have him here.
Stake Conference:
-Awesome stake conference, alot was spoken about AGENCY and not putting ourselves in the enemies territory. He is tricky and will try to lure us little by little and slowly until he gets us. Alot of people have gotten distracted. Our mission presidents wife spoke about being discipes of Christ from Elder Anderson's talk in last conference. It was awesome! Powerful.
Tracting:
-Last night while tracting we had this nice lady answer her door and this little 3 or so year old girl came running out and starting dancing and singing hahahahaha it was so funny! I can honestly say I have never seen that before. She did it for about 10 minutes while we tried to talk to the mother. Good times.
Lesson Plans:
-We had some awesome lessons this week, we taught a family and a girl who loves visual aids, so that inspired us to make some helpful tools. We tried to come up with a plan of salvation boardgame but ended up just making an awesome chart with spirit action figures and physical action figures to represent people. A picture is attatched. :D Then for the Gospel of Jesus Christ lesson we made a makeshift scale out of a yard stick from Home Depot, two mousetraps, a rubber band, poker chips..(don't ask questions :p), tape and a cut out picture of Jesus Christ. Picture for the latter will not be attatched due to my neglegence in not taking a picture. :(
Small gist from the week gotta role yall! Love yall!
-Elder West
ps..in stake conference all the missionaries got asked to stand up in front of the congregation like when I was in Mobile, and again, like in Mobile, I was the shortest missionary there from what i noticed....even than the sisters! But they were on stairs. :p
