Hey Everybody!
Great week here in the deep south! I got my buddy Elder Levi here with me now, it is exciting to have another experienced missionary with me. He is a great kid, has learned alot. Sad to say hasn't had the best companions but he wants to work super hard now and do whats right! We will be teaching it up! He loves to bike and he bikes way faster than me! I feel like such a fatty next him! ha! I have really still been loving the New Testament, a few highlights for this week are the story of Peter walking to Jesus on water but then he doubts and Jesus says, wherefore didst thou doubt? Doubting is an arch enemy! Faith and doubt cannot exist in the same space at the same time. I can't doubt! I am still reading the Book of Mormon I am reading in Alma 25 I think is where I left off today, about many Lamanites being converted due to the preaching of Ammon and his bretheren. So cool!!! I love the Book of Mormon, I testify that it's true. It is a great missionary tool! We have been given a really cool assignment from our Branch President, to update the roster, I am excited, we get to use the MLS system, the churches computer system to update and make changes and stuff. I am excited things will move forward I know it. Elder Levi gave his first district meeting today he did a great job, it was wonderful! We have some great weeks coming up, a few baptisms within this and next month. Whoo hoo!!! Great people! We had a cookoff yesterday for pday, I marinaded the chicken in jalapeno juice, and then threw chopped up bacon and diced jalapenos in a skillet while it cooked, whoa budday that was spicy!! It burned my mouth really bad! But it was tasty. Elder Levi made bbq chicken, he threw some spicy bbq sauce in there to marinade and some crushed red pepper. It turned out real good. We let our branch president taste and he knew I made the hot. We will make some for a recent convert family next week! :D All is well yall, thank you so much for the love and prayers! Have a great week!! Don't forget to write letters :D
Love,
Elder West
